It is a craft that only a few people in the world have mastered: making glass eyes. Yannick M\u00fcller-Uri is a sixth-generation ocularist. First, he produces the blank: he blows a sphere of glass with a deceptively real iris and pupil that resembles a human eyeball. <\/p>\n

The ocularist manufactures eye prostheses made of glass or plastic for people who have lost an eye. The burden for those affected is very high. Ocularists are a beacon of hope for these people: they produce completely natural-looking eye prostheses and adapt them individually to each patient. <\/p>\n
